Trump's rating dilemma

Some understanding of our unelected president. The man is generally a television personality.  Most of his life has revolved around tv ratings.  That is how he values himself.   He would do most anything to get his TV ratings up, snappy punch lines (YOUR FIRED!), rude and crude behavior (grab them by the pussy!) and general boorishness (I am a billionaire) so the rules don't apply to me and so forth.  That has been his life for a long time and it was a success for him. When he became a president through outrageous promises (I'll make America great again (there was something wrong?)), my opponents are scary dudes, you have to be afraid of people with more melanin in their skin than you, I will revive dead industries  (we need coal if I say we do, damn it!), and immigrants are terrorists.  His ratings went through the roof in his view (I got a lot of votes so that means my ratings are great) and it would be even better if there wasn't fraud.   However, when his inauguration crowds were not what he expected, he saw that as a threat to his personal ratings which could explain his strong reaction.  Now that his popularity is down in the teens, he is totally freaking out.   So he has trotted out  most of his old behavior patterns in expectation that this will work it's magic again.  It will be interesting to see how well that works for him (and us).
